In a bid to cut plastic use we bought Caroline a stainless steel metal drinks bottle three years ago. If you’re after a plastic-free alternative for your children’s water bottle this sturdy BPA-free drinks bottle can be personalised too. Kids love them.

We chose One Green Bottle for their friendly and informative website, ethical outlook and great selection of bottles plus the option of personalisation – ALL wild kids feel extra special if their kit has their name on it!

Bespoke Bottles

We chose the size, style, material, colour, personalisation and type of cap and even got a spare cap thrown in free of charge.

The bottles come in a variety of environmentally friendly and health conscious materials including food grade stainless steel and non-carcinogenic  BPA-free plastic and there are 4 sizes to suit all needs; 350ml, 500ml, 800ml and 1000ml. There are bottles for bikes, school lunches, durable canteens and bottle jackets.

We also love the look of their new sticker packs for home personalisation, which weren’t around when we bought our bottle.

Kit for Kids

Caroline’s 350ml bottle is made of 304 grade stainless steel and stands 13cm tall excluding the cap and 7cm diameter.

We chose a Skinny SUPERGREEN CAP which was best for toddlers, with an eco-friendly bamboo cap as the spare.

Caroline loves the personalisation, in our case a name and photo, which seems to make her take better care of it; the bottle hasn’t been mislaid in 3 years whilst countless others have disappeared along the way.

Pros

  • Easily identifiable – less likely to be lost or forgotten
  • Durable and long lasting – 3 years and counting
  • Plastic-free
  • Eco-friendly
  • Bespoke
  • Fun

Cons

  • Heavier than a plastic bottle for little wildlings – that’s all we can think of and to be honest we’ve not found this a problem

Kids of the Wild highly recommend this bottle – try one on your next wild expedition and let us know what you think.
