Do you need help to get the kids off screen or get them inspired to try mini adventures outdoors? I know I do. At the end of a busy week it can be hard to find the motivation to think of things to occupy the children.

Mission Adventure could be the answer!

It’s a home delivery adventure box subscription for kids aged 7 to 11. Delivered direct to your door once a month it contains great ideas to get the kids outside learning new skills.

Even better, 100% of the cost of the boxes goes towards The Royal British Legion, so your kids will have great fun outdoors whilst supporting a worthy charity too.

Gift Subscription

I’m always on the look out for unusual and sustainable children’s gifts and this would be an ideal birthday or Christmas gift subscription for kids.

Mission Adventure is a brand new fundraising project by The Royal British Legion so initially it will run for 4 consecutive months.

Simply sign up via their website (see below) and your outdoor adventurers will soon receive their first adventure box in the post!

Mission Adventure Pack Contents

We received the first box to review last week, the perfect size to fit through the letterbox and made from fully recyclable cardboard; no plastic in sight which gets top marks from me.

The first month’s mission is navigation and includes an adventurer’s tool to keep – a working metal compass which Caroline thought was very cool!

Each box includes a Mission Adventure guide leaflet with three mini adventure missions to work on and complete, mission log pages with room for personal notes and fun facts and information on a famous adventure explorer. The missions include making your own compass, navigation skills and team games

There are also stickers and a tracker sheet to record each of the four missions as they are completed. Our tracker sheet is on Caroline’s pinboard awaiting update. The upcoming three missions are: –

  • Bushcraft
  • Secret Communication
  • Exploration

Caroline can’t wait!

We’re going to work on our first mission this weekend – I’ll add some photos once we’ve done them.

Special Offer – 50% off first box

The subscription costs £7.99 per month for four months, and the fabulous people at Mission Adventure have offered all Kids of the Wild readers a special discount of £4 off your first adventure box.

Use the code KIDSOFTHEWILD at checkout.

Sign up for your subscription at the Mission Adventure website here or learn more on their Facebook page.
