Welcome to another week of Country Kids, where you can find out what we’ve been up to at Kids of the Wild as well as joining in the outdoor linky co-hosted by Louise from Little Hearts Big Love, Helena from Queen of Collage and me here at Kids of the Wild.

NOTE FOR REGULAR READERS – #CountryKids is a bloggers community post, aimed mainly at fellow outdoor bloggers. A linky is where bloggers can promote their work – a collection of different bloggers’ writing in one place.

Outdoor family bloggers please click HERE or on ‘Inlinkz Link Party’ further down the page (see guidelines below) to add your blog post and find great reads by other bloggers

At Kids of the Wild This Week

Kids of the Wild has been very quiet for the last few weeks, for various reasons, not least that we’ve bought our own house and had a fairly stressful move.

Then the dog went down with some sort of poisoning and was unconscious for over 24 hours. Horrible and nerve-wracking. He made a miracle recovery and îs mostly doing well. Look out for a forthcoming post.

Back at home Caroline has started a gardening club with friends and we’re going to dig a wildlife pond. Exciting times! Lots of articles and reviews for budding gardeners.

Don’t forget our fabulous free to enter giveaway – draw closes at midnight on April 13th so enter today – to win this collection of 8 outdoor inspired i-Spy books to encourage nature spotting all year round.

My own post in the linky is about a really unusual craft activity, making felted slippers (felted feet) whilst walking with the kids! You can wander round the play park for an hour or take a proper country hike, either way works fine!

Caroline’s in training for the North of England Children’s Cancer Research Fund run which we’re taking part in on May 19th. You can join us to run or sponsor us/donate on our Just Giving page.
